With over 15 years of practice, Sofia is a Usui Reiki Master. She was initiated into Reiki I and II in 1996 by the Reiki Alliance in the Netherlands. In 2011 she passed the Reiki Shinpiden level with the International Center for Reiki Training in the USA. In the same year she became a certified massage therapist and opened the Reiki Studio Aruba for the public.  She started following Qi Gong, Taichi and meditation classes as a student in 1985 in France and has done several international teaching workshops since. In 2012 Sofia followed the Integrated Energy Therapy training to complement the Reiki treatments. She also started doing Water Therapy with rehabilitation patients at the beach. 

Sofia works in her spare time as a volunteer at SABA, the nursing home in Aruba, giving Reiki, hand- and foot massages and she gives Qi Gong classes at Centro Kibrahacha.
